Workplace Safety
The Alliance for Women Film Composers has a zero tolerance policy on harassment of any kind. If you or someone you know has experienced harassment in the workplace, we support you in speaking up. As a community, we can build better and safer work environments through education, sharing resources and by taking a stand against harassment together.
Workplace harassment is illegal and should not be tolerated. Harassment comes in many forms including verbal harassment, bullying, stalking, repeated unwanted sexual or romantic advances, off color jokes or stories, displaying pornographic material, indecent exposure or teasing related to gender.
We have provided a safety resource on our website for composers who are experiencing harassment. We will continue to expand this resource over time to better support our global membership. It takes courage to step forward and we support those who speak up against their harassers.
