Wonderful news: The World Soundtrack Awards will bestow the Alliance for Women Film Composers with their WSA Industry Award this year. This is only the second time the WSA hands out this award; what a great honor for our organization.
Huge thanks to our founding members and past presidents Laura Karpman, Lolita Ritmanis, Miriam Cutler Composer Page, Chandler Paul Poling, and Starr Parodi, without whom the AWFC simply wouldn't exist, to our volunteers, our admin team, advisory board and to our elected board members who work tirelessly to serve our community, to our current leadership under AWFC president Catherine Joy Music, and to all sponsors, supporting members, and to our global membership, who make the AWFC a vibrant community of talented artists. And thanks to the World Soundtrack Academy for this award, shining the spotlight on our organization, thus further amplifying the works of women composers.
