Lindsay Young is a composer, songwriter, and producer as well as an artist under the name Lindsay Ruth. She is a pianist and singer trained in classical, jazz, and pop studies and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Performance. After a brief stint of songwriting and touring in Nashville, she moved to Los Angeles. She’s performed as a session musician, live musician, and a solo artist at venues like Hotel Cafe, Whisky A Go Go, and Harvard and Stone

Young was awarded “Best Song” in the short film Blurred for the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project in 2021. She was also chosen as one of three songwriters and nine composers for the 2021-2022 SCL Mentorship Program. She recently had one of her tracks chosen for ESPN's fifty-year celebration of Title IX, allowing women equal opportunity to play sports. This year, Young has composed for three short films and currently works as a composer for licensing and ad opportunities.
