Composer and virtuoso pianist Wan Rosalind Wong is the consummate renaissance woman. As a concert pianist, her playing is recognized for its poetic landscapes, passion, grit, and intellectuality. Her performance career includes giving solo and chamber recitals at leading intellectual and artistic centers in the West Coast. As a versatile conversationalist of many musical genres, her compositions have appeared in classical concerts as well as commercial specs and animation web series. She is the first prize winner of the RecChange 2021 film composition competition, the Atwater Kent Concerto Competition, and the Quick Bowman Competition.

Rosalind became the youngest to graduate with a doctorate in music from the inaugural class of UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music, where she taught keyboard studies as a teaching fellow on full scholarship. Her diverse interests in story-telling and film media drew her to accomplishing triple bachelors of art in music, English, and communication studies with latin honors. Mona Simpson, Debora Shuger, and James Franco are among her esteemed mentors in literature and creative writing. From 2017-2022,  Dr. Wong was the Henry Brittan and Maxwell Siemans Piano Chair at American Youth Symphony, a premier training orchestra, where she featured as the organ soloist at Walt Disney Hall. She also had the privilege of performing with conductor/composer David Newman for the recent Academy Museum opening festival. Her recorded performances can be heard on KMozart as well as the program Sunday's Live at LACMA.

As a mentee of the Women In Animation (WIA) 2020-2021 mentorship circle, Rosalind received mentorship and training from Catherine Joy (Joy Music House), the president of the Alliance for Women Film Composers.  

Throughout 2023, Rosalind will be a featured as a soloist of a rarely-heard piano concerto by woman composer V. Kapralova with orchestras such as America Youth Symphony, University of California, Irvine, and Beach Cities Symphony.
